The Rise of Skywalker

The RealD 3D poster for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has some major A New Hope vibes. This is the second poster of the day, following the epic IMAX version. Disney and Lucasfilm are bringing out the big guns for the early promotion and it looks like Star Wars fans are starting to get even more excited than they were before. Part of that excitement comes from The Mandalorian Disney+ series, which has been getting positive reviews from even the most negative fans of the franchise.

The RealD 3D poster for The Rise of Skywalker looks like it could have been made back in 1977 when A New Hope was released in theaters. We’ve got Kylo Ren and The First Order at the top, taking up the darkness of space, while the Resistance is below, led by Rey as she wields her Lightsaber...

But a tidbit about the marketing blitz that’s about to get underway to promote the site (get ready y’all) will only get people more intrigued.

An article on Disney+ in The New York Times claims there is something very “dramatic” and surprising in the first episode of the show. Here’s what it says:

The Mandalorian, which contains a dramatic Star Wars-universe spoiler in the first episode and will be available the moment Disney Plus starts, has been as heavily promoted as a traditional feature film, with billboards, 30-second television commercials, radio spots, and digital ads.

‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2

The Manalorian, the first live-action Star Wars television series ever, doesn’t premiere on Disney’s streaming service until the fall, but apparently Season 2 is already on the way. Hyping up the new “live-action” version of The Lion King on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Mandalorian producer Jon Favreau told Kimmel that he was “actually writing part of the second season now.”

Favreau also compared writing The Mandalorian to “turning over your toy chest and playing with all your Star Wars toys together.” The show, Set five years after the events of The Return of the Jedi, the new TV series will be released on the day Disney+ goes live (November 12, stars Pedro Pascal as the title character, a bounty hunter living on the Outer Rim. The Rise of Skywalker

Timothy Zahn‘s upcoming Thrawn: Treason book may provide us with some information on the Death Star in The Rise of Skywalker. The first trailer for the upcoming movie dropped earlier this year and Star Wars fans were quick to notice that the destroyed remnants of the Death Star are on display, though it is unclear where it is. It could be Yavin 4 or Endor, but fans are beginning to think it could be somewhere else. Thankfully, it looks like some answers could be on the way.

A new excerpt from Thrawn: Treason has been released and it brings Palpatine, Thrawn, Director Krennic, and Grand Moff Tarkin together. The short snippet isn’t heavy on information, but it goes into detail about the making of the first Death Star before the events of A New Hope...
