The Transformers movies have always been films that have divided opinions, but were always very successful at the Box Office. I am one of the people who have enjoyed the Transformers films whilst growing up, and on many occasions found myself defending them, but sadly when it comes to Transformers 5: The Last Knight, I am unable to defend it. I struggle for words when it comes to describing the 5th installment of the robots in disguise, but I am going to try!

The Last Knight starts off well, with it going back into the medieval days, where we see another twist on the legendary wizard, Merlin,  and how he came to getting his magical powers – they happened to be given to him by a Transformer who was hiding on planet Earth...

Avengers Endgame is not the end of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), but it is the culmination of 11 years and a 22-movie arc that began in 2008 with Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark declaring to the world, “I am Iron Man.” Marvel built and built to 2012’s The Avengers where Iron Man, along with Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) fought back an alien invasion over New York City. That film also teased a pending clash with Thanos (Josh Brolin) over the Infinity Stones. Since then, more characters, too many to list here, were introduced to the MCU...

It would be fair to say the DCEU has been through some major changes since The Batman solo movie was originally announced. Back in 2015, before Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice and Suicide Squad, and well before Wonder WomanJustice LeagueAquaman, and ShazamWarner Bros. had planned a Batman movie to star, and be directed by Ben Affleck.

Back then Zack Snyder was overseer of the DCEU, but after disappointing reactions to BvSSuicide Squad, and Justice LeagueWarner Bros. decided to change tack, and Affleck found “a graceful and cool way to segue out of it.”

The movie is still going ahead, but Ben Affleck is out, both in front of and behind the camera.
